Super Lawyer 
Bob Massey has also been named a Super Lawyer in the area of general practice for the years of 2006 and 2007 and in the area of criminal defense for the years of 2008 and 2009 by Mid South Super Lawyers Law and Politics which coves the states of Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
The Super Lawyers selection process is a comprehensive, good-faith and detailed attempt to produce a list of lawyers that have attained high peer recognition, meet ethical standards, and have demonstrated a considerable degree of achievement in their field.
In selecting attorneys for Supper Lawyers, Law & Politics employs a rigorous, multiphase process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. The final published list of Super Lawyers represents no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state. The lists are published annually in state and regional editions of Super Layers magazine and in inserts and special advertising sections in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers. Martindale-Hubbell
Additionally, Bob Massey has been rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell which is a national publication which first provided legal services in 1887 and consists of multiple volumes listing attorney’s names, firm profiles, and ratings for attorneys across the United States. The publication also provides a rating system so as to aid people seeking legal services in choosing the right attorney for their legal issues(s). An “AV” rating is the highest rating given to attorneys and is only awarded to attorneys who have practiced for more than 10 years and who have been found to have the highest level of ability and ethics. This rating is known as the pinnacle of professional excellence. The sole basis for the rating is the review of the attorney’s abilities and ethics by other attorneys whose votes and opinions are confidential.

Also, Bob Massey has been chosen for membership in the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is one of only 100 trial lawyers to be chosen for membership in that organization and is, as a result, listed as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in the State of Tennessee.
