Attorney- Robert D. Massey
Bob Massey
He is active in both professional and civic affairs giving service with honesty and integrity having served as an officer and board member of various civic and charitable organizations including the Exchange Club and the Middle Tennessee Council for the Boy Scouts where he serves on the Board of Directors and from which he has received the Silver Beaver Award. He has been recognized by his peers from across the state based on his having devoted time and sacrificed his practice to advance the rights of those citizens accused of crime by being awarded the Robert W. Ritchie Award on two occasions (1992 and 1993). He remains extremely active as a life member in both the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Tennessee Association For Justice (formly Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association). He has served on the Board of Directors for T.A.C.D.L. on three (3) occasions for a total of nine (9) years and is a past president of T.A.C.D.L., having served in that capacity in 1993-1994. He also served on the Board of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers from 2000 to 2005. His practice is equally divided between civil litigation and criminal defense in both state and federal courts. Since 1983 Bob Massey has been trying cases mostly in the southern Middle Tennessee area in both state and federal courts. During five of those years (1987-1992) he served as the Public Defender for the 22nd Judicial District.
