The Law Offices of Robert D. Massey and Associates prides itself on the aggressive, economical, and ethical representation of its clients in both civil and criminal courts throughout southern Middle Tennessee and beyond.

The firm has represented physicians, lawyers, various businesses, persons with domestic relations issues, and persons injured in accidents as well as those who are charged with criminal violations for over twenty (20) years. During this time we have obtained settlements and/or verdicts in excess of a million dollars in civil court and have obtained not guilty verdicts in death penalty cases in criminal court.

Our attorneys and staff are additionally truly concerned and involved with our clients who have domestic relations issues which include divorce, child custody and support, and adoption. We also represent persons in social security disability cases.

Our firm has also represented clients at all levels of appeals in state court.

Just as importantly, the attorneys in the office have always been and will always be active in various legal associations in order to more effectively represent their clients. Additionally, the attorneys are active in civic matters so that the firm can give back to the communities from which their client base comes.

Robert D Massey earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1982 from the University of Memphis School of Law. Robert was appointed the Tennessee 22nd Judicial District Public Defender from 1987-1992. Robert Massey entered private practice in 1992. He has served in many capacities in various Legal Associations and Civic Associations. Robert Massey is rated AV in Martindale Hubbell- indicates preeminent legal ability with highest rated professional and ethical standards.

Bob has served as president of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers as well as the Tennessee Public Defenders Conference. He has additionally served on the board for the Tennessee Trial Lawyers (now Tennessee Association for Justice).He is also very active in the community and proudly supports and participates in a variety of activities which include his church, the Rotary Club, and the Boy Scouts of America.

Matthew Dunkin Matthew H. Dunkin earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in May 2008 from Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia and received his license to practice law after passing the Tennessee bar examination in July 2008. Since that time Matt has been working as an Assistant District Attorney General. He worked in Pulaski until January 2009 and then relocated to Columbia, TN. He is excited to begin the private practice of law at the Law offices of Robert D. Massey.

Kevin S. LattaKevin S. Latta earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2005 from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. While at Cumberland, Kevin served as an Abraham Caruthers Teaching Fellow, Associate Chief Judge of the Cumberland Trial Board and was a member of the acclaimed National Mock Trial Team. Since entering private practice in 2005, Kevin has handled numerous criminal, domestic and civil cases in courts throughout the state.
